Chemistry and Chemical and Biochemical Engineering Departments’ Paper included in ACS Editors’ Choice

The paper “Size Matters in the Water Uptake and Hygroscopic Growth of Atmospherically Relevant Multicomponent Aerosol Particles” is highlighted on the ACS Publication website under ACS Editors' Choice.  The paper just published in the Journal of Physical Chemistry shows how the hygroscopic growth of nanoscale particles are distinctly different from microscale particles due to differences in their structure.  This has important implications for the atmospheric impacts of these particles.  The paper is co-authored by Olga Laskina, Holly Morris, Joshua Grandquist, Zhen Qin, Betsy Stone, Alexei Tivanski and Vicki Grassian.
