The Optical Science and Technology Center (OSTC) in conjunction with The College of Engineering, College of Liberal and Arts and Sciences and the VP for Research Office is sponsoring a symposium on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology on Nov 12, 2003 at the Iowa Memorial Union (IMU) and Iowa Advanced Technology labs (IATL). The symposium is intended to bring together students and researchers across campus interested in the areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology. (NNI) and funding opportunities provided by the NNI (http://www.nano.gov/) as well as several invited talks by UI researchers working in the areas of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and a poster session will provide forums in which UI students and researchers can exchange ideas and discuss possible future collaborations in this interdisciplinary area.
